About Us
We are a church that seeks to follow the example of the first century church in the Bible. We assemble for worship on the first day of the week as they did in the New Testament. (Acts 20:7) We sing prasies to God using only our voices as we see the instruction given in Eph. 5:19 and Col. 3:16. We remember our Savior's death till He comes again as He commanded in Luke 22:19. We see examples of this done in Acts 20:7 and we see the saints came together to eat the Lord's Supper in 1 Cor. 11:23-29 where Paul give the Corinthians instruction about their frame of mind in partaking. We study the word of God in classes as well as hearing lesson from the word of God. We speak where the Bible speaks and we are silent where the Bible is silent. We are an autonomous church and the church was set up to be in the first century. We have elders that serve as shepherds for the flock. Paul gave Timothy and Titus the qualifications for elders in 1 Tim. 3:1-7 and Tit. 1:6-9. We have men appointed as deacons and we see their qualifications given 1 Tim. 3:8-13. We are organized as the first century church was because Christ has all authority (Matt. 28:18; Eph. 1:20-23) and this is the example He has given us.
